At Lobb St Sawmill, we believe in supporting the local community and businesses. All our timber and other products are predominantly sourced from businesses based in Queensland, Maryborough in the north and Yatala in the south. 


If you are looking for imported products, we stock them as well. We have a range of treated pine and decking timbers imported from New Zealand and Indonesia, respectively. Be it local or imported products, we have everything you need.

Treated Timber

ACQ:  Alkaline, Copper and Quarternery (ACQ) treatment that is currently registered for use in all hazard classes except H6 (marine use). The majority of our hardwood timber uses this treatment, in addition to a lot of our landscaping timber.  This treatment is similar to the CCA below, however it does not include the use of arsenic, reducing its toxicity, meaning this type of treated timber can be used for close contact applications such as outdoor seating and tables, children's play equipment and handrails. 


CCA Treatment


CCA timber is still widely used in landscaping, and we also supply this type of treated timber as an alternative.

  • Copper: To control fungi 
  • Arsenic: To control termites 
  • Chromium:  To fix the copper and arsenic in the wood



Remember to use hot-dip galvanised or stainless steel nails or screws when fixing these treated timbers.
